Dear coworkers,
We are proud to inform you that we already formed our first IBM Union
in Latin America (Sindicato Nacional de Trabajadores de empresa IBM Chile –
SNTI) on September 2nd 2010,
and by this letter we want to invite you to join us on this historical moment
for our coworkers and IBM Chile.
Our main objectives as a Union, is to be the workers representative in front of
the company, give legal support on labor issues, watch over the professional and
personal rights of every single associate and overall, get the benefits and improvements
needed to make IBM a better place to work.
At this time we already take important steps on our recognition inside IBM Chile,
and we have more things to achieve yet, we know this is the beginning on a path
to future benefits to all our workers, and like our partners from Argentina; we
want to keep better improvements in our work quality and professional development
inside IBM.
Please count with us and our support in anything you need; we recognize in you
our principal organization in our quest to achieve a Global Union at IBM.

At last we want you to know, that we are already working on our first collective
negotiation with IBM, and this will be an important milestone in our history as
