Declaration about Full Employment"
|
||
| We, IWIS 5th Meeting participants, gathered in Roma in May 1991, are deeply concerned about the restructuring of IBM all over the world which has as its main effect the cutting down of the working population in IBM. | ||
| This shows that the company does not respect its own "principle" of Full Employment. | ||
| Workers and their representatives have the right to negotiate the aspects as far as the processes of restructuring and redeployment are concerned. | ||
| The final outcome of the negotiation should not be against the personal interests of each worker. | ||
| IWIS 5th Meeting declares that full employment is a right for all the workers. In order to make everyone in IBM aware of this problem we declare the 19th of September 1991 "Full Employment Day" and ask Unions and Workers Councils to use all their means in order to give the majn publicity to the problem. | ||
