National Labor Relations Board Upholds Judge's ruling in favor of IBM Employee Union Supporters

February 9, 2001

Re: IBM Corporation and the Communications Workers of America Local 1120, AFL-CIO, Case3-CA-22062

The NLRB has issued an eight page decision dated January 31, 2001 upholding ALJ Raymond P Green's ruling that IBM violated Section 8(a)(1) in regards to the display of pro-union signs.

IBM is ordered by the board to post at the East Fishkill and Poughkeepsie, NY facilities copies of the Appendix, which among other things states section 7 of the Act, which gives employees the right organize and the right to display pro- union signs on their cars while parked in company parking lots.

Many thanks are due to the efforts of Board Agent Robert Ellison and CWA Attorney M. Christina Norum.
