IBM's statement about PBC's:

"The cornerstone of how IBM manages performance is trust and personal responsibility. At IBM, there is no forced distribution of ratings. Under the PBC program, employees can trust that the ratings they receive are an accurate reflection of their contributions for the year, compared to their peer group. There should be no pressure - financial or otherwise - on first-line managers to identify a certain percentage of employees to receive one rating or another."

These comment sections (boards, forums) are not automatically updated. The comments are reviewed by our staff; prior to being posted. Any effort by visitors to get comments posted, such as those described, are a waste of time.
These sections of the Alliance@IBM web site are for the use of members and IBM employees who want to discuss their concerns regarding IBM. The Alliance@IBM is more than just a web site. While the web site is our virtual union hall,
we do have very real things as well.
We have a staff of one national coordinator and one webmaster.
We have an office, telephones, copy machine, mailing supplies and organizing material.
All things that require money to pay the bills.
If you want to see this organization gain strength then please join the Alliance.
If you want IBM to pay attention to employee concerns we need your membership.
If you want a better future for IBMers and information technology workers we need your membership. It's that simple.
